Preferably something that doesn't require much assembly, but if it does it's not a dealbreaker.I'm more concerned with price and functionality than durability, as I'll only be using it for maybe 9 months max.

Have you considered a Futon? Usually comes already assembled for the most part. It takes up the same space as a sofa bed or daybed but can be folded down so you can have a full size if you prefer. Then when you don't need it as a bed any longer...use is as just a sofa.
