Question:

Nissan Sentra SER 20003 A/C?

My A/c is blowing hotter and hotter air, i bought 2 cans with freon but i don't know how to charge them, i sow beside the engine 2 aluminum tubes, one of them had a H on it and the other one had an L on it, witch one do i have to put the freon in?

Answer:

While you could look at it from the atomic level, it is better to look at it from the crystalite/grain levelThe grains have defects (holes in the bonding, if you will)When stress is applied these defects can move or shift positionThis allows the material to change shape without significantly changing its strengthLook up dislocation in wikipedia (or edge dislocation and screw dislocation if you want to get much more technical) ALso read about grain boundariesThese are weak surfaces between the grains (crystalites) that can allow creep.
You have to repair the leak first but if you must putting R134 into the side marked L for low side there is a green label under the hood your entire system takes 1.43 lbs to chargeSo if you don't know how much is left in the system stop at one 12 oz canBest left to professional to show you the oily low or high side hose from the compressor Oily residue indicates a leak and the oil will have green DYE in itFix the leak and charge the system only once.
