Do they just not hear the fire alarm and die? That really is a very naive question. Embarrassingly naive. If a deaf person sees mad panic and people running out of a building, what do you think they'll do? Sit down and read a book? If they see fire alarms flashing, what do you think they are going to do? As for alarm clocks, they have flashing lights, or some other means to wake them up.
