Question:

Now that Nadal is officially out of Wimbledon, can we see Federer hoisting the cup again in the finals?

I asked the same question at RG when Nadal was booted out in the 4th round by ultimate runner-up Soderling. True to their answers, Federer lifted the cup. Will history repeat again for him in the grass?

Answer:

Federer is always the man to beat on grass; with or without Nadal. Yes, he's going to hoist the trophy, but Murray will give him a run for his money. Murray is good, but Federer is better on grass. They're more evenly matched on hard courts. Nadal won't come to top form until next year; so for the rest of the year, enjoy a new rivalry; Murray-Federer; the two bet hardcourt players in the world battling it out in the US open. Watch what happens.
Murray was always a bigger threat to Federer this Wimbledon. Nadal....lol no
I hope he does..i'm kind off scared because there are some new guys that really impress me! and not only new guys..Juan Martín Del Potro! damn he's good! but know that nadal isn't part of wimbledon i truly hope federer can win back his number1 spot!
ahhh...its a tough one...all depends on how the Competition is playing
He'd certainly have to be the favorite but Nadal's exit has hardly given Federer the title on a silver platter. Even if Federer shows up playing well, there are others who could make things tough for him. Murray always plays well against Roger and has already won on grass. The likes of Djokovic, Del Potro and Roddick (if he's fit) will all be tough too. Granted Federer has a great shot but its not exactly a foregone conclusion.
