my eight month old just fell off the bed head first. hes ok now seems normal . my bed is about sofa height help?!
my bed is really low to the ground too (Ikea bed), and our daughter fell off around that age too. Since we had just stepped into the bathroom for second we did not see HOW she fell if it was on her head or what so to be on the safe side we took her to the ER to be checked out. She was fine. They will ask if he cried alot cause that is a good sign, if he didn't cry that is a reason to worry. if he seems fine he probably is, but to be on the safe side since u said the fell on his head I'd take him to the ER cause if they fall on their head and I can't remember but something like it could injury their necks and/or make blood pool in the head, NOT GOOD, so best thing to do is go to the ER just to be checked out. good luck
Accidents happen. Just check his head (for swelling) and his pupils for pupil dilation. Keep a good eye on him for the next 6 hours (since his fall) and if he sleeps within the 6 hour time frame rouse him to make sure he wakes.
Did he cry right away? Good sign. Are his pupils the same size or different? Different is bad Does he seem lethargic / out of it after falling? Bad sign
If the baby is OK then there is nothing to worry about just be more careful next time about where he's positioned. Babies will fall and hurt themselves all the time but as long as they have mommy to kiss their boo boo's then it will be OK
Call the baby's doctor and talk to a nurse or even the doctor on what you should do next to make sure your baby is okay. Or you can even call a call a nurse hot-line and they will help you out. But do something!
