I am adding four lights to my laundry room. I have one light already, which is at the far end of the room. I would like to put the switch at the entrance to the room and add four more lights to the existing light. But the power is at the END of the room, coming through the existing light, which means it would run from that light, through the four added lights and finally to the switch. How do I make the switch control the power? Thanks.

To check, if you unscrew one bulb, the other should go off, which is not correct. The neutrals should all be tied together, as a check. Hot wire should connect to the incoming power, then to one side of the switch, and from the other side of the switch to the 4 hots of the 4 lights, all in parallel. Where you may get confused is the wire to the switch. This would be a 2 conductor cable (plus ground) with a white and a black wire. But both wires are actually hot wires, the white is NOT a neutral in this case. You should mark the white wire with a black or red marker on each end. .
