Question:

Paintball loader speed setting?

I am not sure how much to set my loader speed setting at. I play on semi, and im not sure what my bps is. I heard that setting it too high causes chops. How do I know what setting to set it to, considering my highest loader setting is 20 bps, and the max semi auto bps is 20. If im shooting 10 bps, will 20 bps in the loader still work without chops?

Answer:

This depends on what loader you have. if you have a loader that works off of eyes ( such as a Halo b) then that wouldn't be a problem. but if your loader is constant feed ( such as a velocity) then 20bps would be a bit much.
If your hopper has a clutch setting, the bps isn't as important as the force setting. I run a VLocity Junior on a variety of markers. Standard field bps here in Ontario is 15bps. I like Nelspat and because it's got a decent shell, I run my feed force a bit higher than if I was shooting Hotbox but I keep my feed speed at 20 bps and have no issues. Also having eyes in your marker keeps chops from happening as well. I've been playing for 20+ years.
