i just got apallet expander its very annoying but i also have a girlfriend and were gunna hookup i told her i hade one and she sed she doesnt care but will it be wierd at all or uncomfortable for her or anything
You have to battle all of the gyms first, then go to pallet town to recieve your starters. You can circle the Kanto region and get there any time, and meet Professor Oak, but you won't recieve the starters until you beat all of the gyms. Take it from a guy with a level 95 Charizard.
