Does anyone know why an aluminum paper clip with a density of 2.7grams/cubic cm can float in water that has a density of 1.0grams/cubic cm ! well thanks a lot in advance for your help and please please please help me im realy desperate ! xoPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME !
a paper clip has its mass stretched over a greater distancea cubic centimeter is a fixed size, whereas a paper clip when unfolded you can see it is far longer and thinner than a cubic centimeterit's the difference between a string and a solid cubei'm sure you can understand how a string weighing 1 gram could float whereas a marble cannot float, even if they weigh the same.

I'm doing engineering at Iowa State so here's my opinionYour school is prob OK it seems like if you don't go to one of the top 10 schools like MIT your school makes no difference as long as they have an engineering program that is accreditedI've switched from business too and it probably will set you back at least a year unless you took higher level math and scienceYou need to do Calc 1 2 and 3 as well as Physics 201 and 202 (higher level then physics 101 and 102) and a higher level chemEngineering is a great way to go if you want a job in this terrible economyMy brother is graduating in mechanical Eng with a relatively low GPA and received an offer in the high 50'sIt is difficult but if you find joy in what your learning thats all you need to get through itThe beauty is that this degree doesn't limit youYou can do anything with an engineering degreeUsually people go into work that includes designing and solving problems in real life situations.
The CSUs are generally not well regarded in industryThis doesn't mean that you can't get a good job after graduating from one, but you'll be competing against a pool of UC applicants and most good employers get so many resumes that they'll probably immediately toss the CSU applicantsIf you're used to a business major, you'll probably find engineering to be pretty toughIt's a lot of math and calculus but if you feel comfortable with it then you'll probably be okNobody can tell you whether doing engineering would be good for youSome people graduate with a business degree from a CSU, get a job at a bank and work up to a very lucrative positionOthers graduate with an engineering degree and struggle to find a decent jobIf you suspect that you wouldn't make a good engineer, then you should avoid the field while you can.
