Plumbing question. Copper colored pipe vs silver? Difference?

Hi, I recently had a pressure vacuum breaker go bad during a freeze. It was a Wilkins 720a 1/2 inch. It was copper in color. When looking online to purchase a new one, I am seeing it available in the copper color but then I am also seeing it available in a silver color (same model though). Can anyone out there educate me on the difference? Will both work the same? Do the different colors indicate something? Thanks for any help.

Answer:

They'll both perform the same. The silver ones are probably chromed brass.
They are both exactly the same just one is raw brass and the other is chrome plated.
They are both the same function the different colors is style with decor Both will work the same providing its the same part number just different colors for the look of it One is probably just its original color and the other chrome plated brass Hope that helps Lr
