The driver door and the passenger door do not roll down at all. One of the back windows rolls down ok, and the other goes down but will get stuck and will not roll back up. Also I just bought this car, and the previous owners said that the sun roof never worked the whole time they owned it. Anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong with the car, and how costly this repair could be?? Thanks.
Either your window relay is shot or the motor is dead, same for the switch.
it,s a fuse,,because you fantastically nicely gave us all the reply by putting forward what all stopped operating,,someone probable has blown a fuse earlier,,ans per chance placed the incorrect length decrease back in it,,you do not loose each and every thing like that only on a foul cord,,there's a fuse that controls all of that,,and your automobile may have 2 fuse bins be particular and verify lower than the hood for the second one one,,you,ll locate it to be a fuse,,also some fuse panels are placed contained in the trunk section,,on the right hand side,,you,ll see it marked,,yet to be particular,,verify your proprietor,s ,guide,,desire this help,s.
If you do the work yourself the repairs may not be too bad. Depends on a lot of factors like how new the car is and who it's made by. parts on a hyundai run a lot cheaper than parts on a ferrari if you get my point lol. It could be motors have gone out or it may just be the switches themselves. This can be a few different things... ChadY hit the nail on the head. Best answer. No need to read any more...
For the windows that don't respond at all, you probably have a short in the wiring. If you know how to use a circuit tester, I'd pull off the door panels to get to the window motors and find out if the motor is actually getting any electricity when you push the window button. Circuit testers are easy to use.
