OUCH! Haven't had that procedure done but have had a needle to the pallet. It will hurt but not for long. They may numb the area up some with a topical applied with a q-tip. It really helps. Just ask.
I think you may have been better off not knowing its going to sting for a moment and then taper off as the numbing takes affect then it will feel like some thing is in the roof of your mouth . This is because the liquid anethesia is being forced into a very tight space not flabby tissue so it will feel weird until the liquid disipates throughout the area it wont be near as bad as you can imagine it to be .
Yes, it will be 'uncomfortable', but it won't make you pass out or anything... it's a quick 'pinch', and then it's over and you'll start to get numb... just keep in mind that the needle isn't as huge as you imagine it; it's actually very small, and you'll be just fine! :)
I haven't gotten something like that done but I did take a needle in the pallet. It just stings for a second but it doesn't hurt like you're thinking it will. But don't worry, you will be numb right away. And yes, they put a numbing topical on the area right where they will put the needle in, so you basically just feel a quick pinch.
