I live in Tennessee near nashville, I want to recarpet and ceramic tile in my house but want an estimated cost, of how much so i dont get jipped It‘s a 2,000 sq ft house and.. its two bath one kitchen for tile and three bedroom and living room and hallway for carpet.. anyone know where i can get help i dont want to overpay at all! also empire company has anyone ever done business with them? know if they are good at all///?

go to a warehouse, low overhead type of place, not a fancy flooring store. ask the sales person if the price on the tag is his best offer. they have some wiggle room in the prices.
carpet for the mid range runs $25 a square yard up to $50 a square yard you get what you pay for if you go cheaper than the mid range Ive always been told buy the best quality pad that you can afford a friend paid over $5,000 for her tiny living room, hall, dining cove, bedroom - less than 5 60 sq feet ( padding, carpet, instillation )
Check out Home Depot or Lowes.............personal opinion - don't use carpet at all - it holds in so much dirt, dust, mites, smells, etc. Terrible for anyone with allergies. Just my opinion. The only place that has carpet in our house is the stairs and hallway...........put laminate wood flooring in the bedrooms and tile everywhere else. You can buy throw rugs that can be cleaned easier than carpeting. Best of luck!! ?
DO NOT buy overpriced ceramic tile at a huge chain store. Find a discount builder warehouse of some kind that carries flooring supplies. We recently put new 12x12 tile throughout our entire house and paid only 68cents per tile! We got rid of all the carpet, it is so nasty! You wouldn't believe the germs, mold, dirt, sand, bugs, etc., that get trapped underneath, no matter how much you vacuum. The labor price depends on the worker. Ask around, find a friend who knows someone who lays tile. We had a friend lay ours for about $1.00 per square foot.
