Principles of soft magnetic materials
As shown in figure (b), the hysteresis loop is thin and small, and this material is called a soft magnetic material. Its hysteresis loss is small and it is suitable for alternating magnetic field operation. Soft magnetic materials are indispensable materials in the electronic industry, such as transformers, motors and other electromagnetic equipment.
As shown in figure (a), the hysteresis area wide, material remanence and coercivity are large, the hysteresis loss is serious, the core should not work in alternating magnetic field, which is suitable for the permanent magnet, this material is called hard magnetic materials.
The hysteresis of different ferromagnetic materials is different, and the wider the hysteresis loop is, the larger the hysteresis loop area is, the more serious the hysteresis is.
