Question:

Problems heating a upstairs?

I have a 2 story houseIt's older and does not have any duck work going the upstairsThe upstairs has 2 bedrooms and the atticIs there any way for me to heat it this winterI have space heaters on 24/7 and the door open to let the heat go up there but it's still freezingI have a Worly bird in the attic and I didn't know if I should cover it to keep the heat in? Any help? Thanks

Answer:

Make sure the attic and ceiling have adequate insulation and no major air leaks, then the attic vent, (Worley Bird), should be left aloneI would seriously think about larger or more efficient heaters, it will pay for itself in the long runI have a 80,000 BTU LP heater for emergencies but it warms up the house really wellThey are only about $200If you have air leaks like it sounds you do, I wouldn't worry about any CO2 problemsMy heater will work about 3 weeks on a single 20 LP tank.
should be fine just undo screws on back of card and the heatsink etc should just come away
