Question:

Pumpkin Decorating Snowman?

I am looking for ideas for my pumpkin, I want to make it a snowman, but i cant cut the pumkin in anyway, i CAN paint, glue ectPlease give me your best ideas on how to make my pumpkin look like a snowman, i will be using three pumpkinsThanks for all your help ahead of timeI like really creative ideas, i dont mind doing a little extra work.

Answer:

Well, to make the pumpkins white you could wrap it or them with strips of white cloth, mummy-styleOr you could cover the 3 pumpkins (attached together permanently or temporarily) with something like aluminum foil or a large thin plastic bag (dry cleaner or garbage), then papier mache itOncethe papier mache covering is dry, paint or decorate it to look like a snowmanTo remove the papier mache later, or to create a freestanding snowman to use now (which you could stuff if you wanted with wads of paper), cut the whole snowman papier-mache-covering in half lengthwise with a pair of kitchen scissors or other sturdy scissors, or a craft knife carefully (up sides of body, over top of head), then remove the 2 partsTape them back together and paint-decorate, or just tossYou could also put the aluminum foil or plastic bag on the pumpkins, (which you'd tape or tie tighter around the narrower parts), then spray with some of that fake-stone stuff from the craft storeI'm assuming you can't paint the pumpkin(s) white permanently, but if that's so, just use a white spray paint or a primer then the white paintAnd decorate with any kinds of clothing, facial onlays (felt, baked polymer clay, etc.), etc., you wantHTH, Diane B.
Yes it will be a covalent bondThe simplest compound will be CH4 where each of the electron from the four H will be shared with one each from C to provide 4 covalent bonds.
