Ask around factories and warehouses, gumtree always has some
builders merchants can find wooden pallets.
Try a builders merchants - they have tons because most of there deliveries are on pallets.
Google Freecycle and join a list of freecyclers near you. Doesn't cost anything to join and you can join more than one list. Ask for the daily bulletin. You can post OFFERS, WANTED and TAKEN. It's a really, really great way to get things, or to re-home things you don't want.
