Could someone please explain the difference and advantages/disadvantages of quartz vs automatic watches? Which one is more convenient?My dad recommended against a quartz watch because you have to change the battery every few years? However, I read that quartz watches are more accurate at telling the time, but I'm not sure how large the difference is (if an automatic is only a few minutes off, I won't mind). Also, I read that automatic watches require regular winding or something to reset the time? And that if you don't wear it for a while, it will stop working properly?Anyway, if anyone can give me an easy-to-understand explanation of the different types of watches, I'd be most grateful :)
