I recently bought quot;Natures Best: Urine Destroyerquot; from petsmart amp; the worker that helped me said I could use in it my carpet cleaner. I haven t used it yet, but has anyone ever used it in their carpet cleaner or know if it ll mess it up? Thanks!
You wouldn't believe the products I've dumped into my Bissel carpet shampooer! That puppy is 25 years old and still going strong. I've always put some kind of pet-oriented enzyme cleaner in and I haven't run into a problem yet....one product I used many years ago tended to suds up too much but a little salt, which destroys the surface tension of the bubbles, solved that.
Don't use it in your carpet cleaner. The sales associate is clueless. Nature's Best is an enzyme destroyer. It's used to pull animal urine out of carpets and underlay. To work properly, the product is applied LIBERALLY to the area, using enough to completely soak the carpet and underlay all the way down to the subfloor. As it dries, it pulls the ammonia from the urine out of the carpet and carpet pad. Most carpet cleaners do not spray enough liquid to totally soak through the carpet AND underlay. And the enzymes work as they dry.. It's a waste of money to suck up all of the product you just put on the carpet to clean out the odor. I'd suggest using Nature's Miracle first. After a few days, when the product has finished working and there is no more odor, steam clean your carpets as you normally would to clean them.
If it says to use it in a carpet cleaner, then that's what you should do. It's unlikely to mess it up if you follow the instructions.
