Question about recycleing copper wire?

I got ALOT (probably 500 or so pounds) of scrap copper wire from a wind turbine project i was working on. Its super thick, theres 4 multistrand ropes in one cable, then it has a steel armour casing with a rubber jacket on the outside. Each multistrand rope is 3/8".I have the rubber casing and the steel armour removed, but the casing around each of the 4 cable ropes is really hard to remove. A utility knife doesnt work because its jist too awkward. How much less $$ would i get per pound if i brought them all my wire with the insulation still on it? Only the layer that covers each individual rope, not the other layers that bundle the 4 ropes together. Do i even have to get that stripped off or is it just the plastic and steel armour they care about to get top price? And whats the average going rate for copper wire right now? I live in california if it makes a difference
