Answer:

Interesting that you are having this problem. These devices usually do not go off unless there is at least the smell of smoke, since it takes some kind of airborne particulate to set of a smoke detector, whether of the photoelectric of ionization variety. The industry has trended away from ionization, but the way, especially for monitored detectors, but there are still plenty of the ionization type out there. Ionization is generally better in the event of an actual fire, and photoelectric is generally better in the event of a smoldering fire (earlier warning, and fire professionals like this). I am going to assume this this detector is not monitored, which is too bad - they are the safest, although with this number of false alarms you would have the alarm company calling you all the time to make sure you are okay. I think you have a faulty detector - and it should be replaced. While that is happening, have it replaced by a heat detector, since it's so close to the cooking area. If there has to be a smoke detector, it should be somewhere else. And good luck!
It might be the little rubber rollers that grab the paper are worn smooth. If you can get at them, with a bit of sandpaper you might have a chance. But I'm really guessing here. Try these.. Fan the paper before putting it into the feed try, Get the air in between each sheet if you can. Don't put to many sheets in. If there are two movable guides at the left and right hand side of the feed try, make sure to close them together to hold the paper straight, but not to tightly.
