Answer:

Asking for the canter in the corner is a cheat to get the horse in90% of the time it worksIt is basic mechanics of riding as to why instructors ask thisIf the rider is not strong enough or is not understanding where they need to put their leg (really they should not be cantering buttt.) Asking in the corner is a sure fire way to have it happenWhen the horse comes off being straight on the rail, generally they should pick up the inside shoulder and stay balanced through the turn and so should the rider, The rider should be square at all timesIn the cheat way what happens it the rider tends to lean not staying square and not staying strong and they push the horse faster, the horse pretty much falls in to the canterThe only benefit I see from this is it helps the rider figure out what a canter transition feels like (wrong as it may be it can take fear away) Once the fear is gone they can start to work on the correct wayIt speeds up the processBut if they continue to do it incorrectly it is not beneficialI believe in doing things like this to build confidence in my riders however they are told why I do it and then are asked to work harderIt gives them a taste of whats next and keeps the rider engaged and excited about it.
Just as stated by most people before me, your horse should be fineI would just monitor her and see how she is fairing while out thereShe sounds pretty fit for a 20 year old if you're riding her every day and will probably be just fineThe cows will help keep her from looking as tasty as she might look as a lonerAnd I have seen horses hang around cows quite a bit (it's actually kind of helpful, because then the horse isn't scared of them, and you could use her to help you work the cows - if you wanted that is)Horses and cows are herd animals and like to stick together, so long as one of their herd-mates doesn't want to eat themSince your horse is so close to your house, I wouldn't worry about any coyotesOnly if they are really hungry will they hunt something so largeAnd they do hunt in packs, usually trading off who runs down the prey, thus out-running and tiring out the preyBut like I said before, a horse is a bit big for the little coyotes to go chasing off afterGood luck with your new pony and I would get a lean-to put up as soon as you can, only so that she has the option to use it should she need itHave fun and enjoy her!
Horses were on this Earth long before we were and probably will be long after we are goneThey didn't live in stalls before we came alongYour horse will adapt to being outside with no problemsA run-in shed is nice but they will do fine without oneMy Tb mare is out all the time, day and nightThat is what nature intended for themWe humans intend something different for them A fox will not mess with a horseA horse is huge compared to themFoxes are drawn to prey they can actually eatI don't know abot coyotesDo they hunt in packs or singularly? A pack of coyotes might attack a single horse but once again smaller prey would be better suited to their needsI have seen horses kick and I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of their hoovesMost animals think the same wayIt takes an awful big animal to bring down a horse You say you have cattleThe horse probably won't strike up a friendship with cattle but have been known to hang with sheep or similar animalsYou may want to think about buying your horse a friend like that instead of another expensive horseJust a thoughtTim
My horses live outside in coyote heavenThe only thing I've had a problem with is the coyotes spooked one of my mares into the fence and caused a major vet bill and she became a permanent pasture petBut that's been our only incident in the last 5 yearsA fox isn't going to bother your horse, they're just too smallAnother thing I think you need to consider: my oldest mare is 17 years oldShe's seen just about everything and even the coyotes don't faze herYour girl probably isn't bothered at all right now, and once you get the shelter up she'll be as happy as a clam.
Is OK but not recommendedThe vinyl and soft aluminum with an accordion construction , have flaws.all dryers are constructed for 4 inch tubingThis allows the exhaust to flow freely from the dryerUsing collapsible tubing causes a restricted air flow resulting in longer drying time, and lint and material build upSince dimensions on all dryers are different, if the room is available, choose the non flex hard aluminum vent tubeIs much safer and efficient.
