I was recommended to check out ebay‘s selection on cold air filters for my 2000 honda civic ex. so when i looked i was surprised that the packages were ALOT cheaper than i thought ranging from like 15$ to maybe 300$ or so. are these lower priced ones even worth buying? cause the shipping charges cost more! haha. but if they arent worth it, can you recommend a place to get a decent brand of cold air intake within reasonable price for a college kid? Thanks so much
save yourself a lot of money and headaches and just buy a KN filter that fits into your stock airbox, you will get the same results without all the sucking noises a CAI makes unless your into underhood eye candy.
the least expensive ones are still a great instant HP increase! the only difference from an inexpensive CAI such as Vibrant to an expensive Injen or AEM is the way they are built. The less expensive ones are just self explanatory, you have a tube with a new filter whala more HP no custom pipe or anything,, but it works! Now for a more well built intake you can see the difference in an AEM For example the way they are shaped sometimes like a honda. the regular intake will be getting warm air because it will be near a hot engine. aem fixes the problem with making the tube shape so it can reach all the way into the front bumper where it will get more cooler denser air now for the pipe size. aem creates a pipe size that is suite able for low rmp and high rmp and there is a intake pipe with both small inlet size combined with a more greater inlet size for increase horsepower in low rmp and high rmp! basically a person that is gng to race will spend the extra money other wise a lower cheaper intake works! and not to make fun of vibrant cuz i use a vibrant intake! I HOPE I HELPED! GOOD LUCK MAN! oh and btw for a college kid you can buy a great vibrant at vibrantperformancedotcom or make it your self at your local autozone because a KN or an Injen or AEM are gng to be expensive for a 2000 civic
