I‘ve had a 2inch Sports Exhaust System put in my car about 4 - 5months ago and when my car is cold it seems to make a crackling noise as 1st i thought because it was new and had to wear in but it still makes it, is this all meant to be normal?Also there are days where it will sound nice and a deep sound, an then there is other days where i can hardly hear itI was told as well that you can get twin exhaust systems put in, my brother had told me about this Are you able to do this on any car?
If we knew the year make and model of your car possibly someone bakes a true dual exhaust system. The noise you're hearing is common when you shut the motor off and the exhaust system is cooling down. It's an expansion and contraction thing going on inside the exhaust pipes and what ever type of muffler you have.
