i have a 96 maxima .i was wondering whats better? a cold air intake or ram. whats the difference between them ????????? and is it ok for me to get a bomz intake off e bay ??????? help please
sounds like 1 of the sides of your engine is too lean.i would suggest go to auto zone and have them run a test on it then you would know what to buy.
Sounds like you have a bad oxygen sensor. Take it to a dealership to have it checked out.

Nobody_here is kinda right But i believe he has it backwards. Ram is a pipe that brings the cold are up from under the vehicle into the filter, then into the engine. Cold air, is pretty much the same as stock, with less restrictive tubing and usually a heat shield that surrounds the air filter, helping keep the hot air from under the hood out.
First I'd go with some that's made specifically for your vehicle. Ram air intake is a short pipe that sucks air out of the engine bay and very easy to install. Cold Air is a longer pipe and normally sucks cooler air from the bottom the farthest point possible away from your engine. Short air is cheaper, normally. Do your homework as to which is best for your car. Mine is the best with a short air then a Cold air. And both versions are far better than a restrictive stock setup. Good luck.
