Reinforcing the floor need help?

i im getting a 125 gallon tank or aquarium and it will wight about 1600 pounds with water and stand i was wondering if i could get away with not reinforcing the floor ( remember its 72 inches long and my studs are 16 inches apart ). Now if i did reinforce the floor could i do it under 100 dollars.

What kind of floor ? pier and beam (wood) or slab (concrete) if p&b you can normally install blocks under the area DIY for well less than $100 if slab on ground not much you can do and would most likely be fine as most are about 3500psi or more
Current building codes require floor framing to support at least 50 lbs per square foot. Assuming that your tank is 6 ft long and probably 2 feet deep that equals 12 square feet with 1600 lbs on it. That would mean that you are putting approximately 133 lbs of load per square foot of floor. While there is a fudge factor built into structural design, it is pretty risky without know a lot more information and doing a full blown calculation. As for reinforcing the floor the best bet would be to try and reduce the distance the floor joist are spanning that support that section of floor, or putting some additional structure directly below the fish tank.
