Remodeling question - order of things to work on?

I have a single story 1450 Sqft house built in 1969Previous owner did some remodeling in about 2002, but things inside the house needs a new faceliftRegardless of budget, I would like to know what needs to be done in specific order if I have the following things to do for my house.Absolutely need to change:- Replace Roof (its about 8-9 years old)- Remodel Entire Kitchen- Change Carpet in the rooms and Tile in Kitchen to all hardwood floor(Bathroom can wait)- Insulation for the house- Energy Saving windows- Fumigating the houseGood to have, but not needed.- Waterless heaterLast note, if anyone has a quot;medium of the roadquot; price on each item, please advise as well so that I know if the estimation people that come out is not pulling my leg.

Answer:

leave them alone .they have nothing to do with your house temperatures .they are soffit vents .their purpose is to ventilate your loft space .to stop condensation .if your ceilings are insulated properly then the ventilation will play no part in the temperatures of your home .here in the uk the thickness of insulation is 200mm(8) to comply with building regs
They are called soffit vents and serve to keep the moister out of the atticMoister in your attic leads to your roofing degrading more quicklyAs to what type of roofing system you have will determine how drastically the life expectancy of your roof is affected if the vents are blocked off.
They are soffit vents to control heat and moistureDon't worry about them in the winter, without heat, the air does not draw through very muchIt works on the principle of hot air rising.
Replace the roof firstThis is the only item on your list that if let go could cause damageThen fumigate the houseThen add windowsInsulation can't be added unless you redo all sheetrock, so this is not a reasonable request unless you're just replacing attic insulationIf so, you can get an energy credit off your taxes for doing thisThen do the kitchen, then lastly the floors carpetsThey will otherwise get destroyed while the other, heavier construction is taking placeFinishing wood floors or adding carpet is always the very last thing done during construction.
