Question:

Removing Cat vomit from carpet?

What is the best way to remove cat vomit stains from carpet?

Answer:

I've had two cats that would overeat until they vomited. I think it was related to being abandoned kittens. Anyway, this is what I do on my champagne colored carpet: Pick up what I can with a paper towel, use the vacuum extension hose without the wand and suck it out of the fibers, Spray it with the liquid RESOLVE carpet cleaner and let it soak in for 30 minutes. Then I get a WHITE towel and rub the area clean. I get the vacuum attachment again and suck out the RESOLVE, the stain, suck up the fibers so they're standing up. Tomorrow, you can run the vacuum over the area and it'll all blend in. I get liquid spray RESOLVE at the grocery store for five bucks, but it's cheaper at Walmart. My carpeting has been through 4 cats and is 20 years old. Still looks pretty good.
try woolite foaming carpet cleaner. my cats used to throw up alot, especially when they were like kittens
I use woolite foaming carpet cleaner. Clean up the bulk and then spray with woolite, and scrub clean with a wet cloth. You may need to repeat this process, then vacuum when dry.
Here is a great site that has many high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process twice, rinsing the stain out with warm water in between applications. Best of luck!
