Question:

Removing Custom cold air intake from Jeep Cherokee?

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that I think I am gonna use for my first car and around 2012 my dad installed a cold air intake but since then he has passed away. I want to remove the Air Intake because when you are inside of the car it sounds really annoying and airy and I was wondering what you would do about that.

Answer:

yes should touch the slave
Did your dad keep the stock intake? If so, just swap it back. If not, go to a salvage yard and grab one from there. A used one shouldn't be too expensive.
Plenty of people would be willing to swap it out for you. Check out a Cherokee forum.
I'd look for the original air intake just in case he didn't throw it out. The original air intake was a cold air intake from the factory! After market CAI with those cleanable filters ruin MAF sensors. The oil on the filter migrates to the MAF sensor wires and takes them out. if you can't find the stock air intake go to a local auto parts recycler and buy a used one.
