Question:

Saltwater help?

I need suggestions on everything I need to set up a 55 gallon saltwater tank. I have the tank and stand. I need to know what type of hood/light I need, Skimmer, Filter, Salt, Sand, and Rock. Please help me figure this out as cheap as possible. Tell me if I can get these things for $500 or less. Thanks for your help.

Answer:

There are a lot of decisions to be made, like what type of tank do you want to have? Do you want to grow corals in the tank. Do you want to use live rock? How much do you want to spend on lighting? The easiest filtration system is a foam fractionator,or protein skimmer, they are pretty expensive, but the pay back is in time saved not dealing with the other kinds of filter. Probably a good book or some time on a dedicated forum would be a good starting place. Also you can begin research on prices available on the net. It's a long road. Good luck.-----PeeTee
You can. A lot of insurance company's will not cover you; when you do because of the risk. Basically ride at your own risk.
Look out your window - it aint a great idea right now. Been there, done thatand gave it up in the snow years ago. 7 1/5 mile commute. After not having ridden in the snow in 4 years, I got caught in that lil blow we had just around Thanksgiving. Here's what I was told by the local PD: There's not going to be a charge this time, but if we catch you in the snow again it'll be reckless endangerment.
Yes if there isn't any snow or ice on the roads, motorcycles don't fair so well in those conditions. All you will need to do is wear a coat, helmet, and gloves to protect yourself from the cold. I ride my motorcycle year round when I can, but not when the roads are bad. Insurance has nothing to do with riding in winter!
