What were your schools desks and chairs like ? Mines are graffitied and 2 people sit at them but they are sometimes in rows, the chairs are these horrible plastic things which make sitting on rusty nails comfier ...
wow! Mine had chewing gum residue stuck to the top as well as underneath!! YUCK!!
Somewhat similar but nor rusty.
My school is a new $150-$250 million building so everything is new. Desks and chairs are a little comfortable.
School desks and chairs seem no more comfortable today than they were almost 50 years ago when I started school. I attended a two day workshop in a school a couple of weeks ago, and had to sit at student desks and chairs for those two days, and it was not fun. I cannot believe that we cannot do better than that! I think it always comes down to money. Schools don't have a lot of money to spend on furniture, and you get what you pay for.
