The price for scrap copper usually varies from city to city and state to state. Check with your local scrapyard for the latest prices. Here where I live copper prices have dropped considerably. Last year #1 (clean) was almost $2.00 a lb and #2 copper was around $0.85 per lb. Today #1 is under a dollar.
