Question:

Should I do tin or ceramic backsplash in my kitchen?

I have a ranch style kitchen with light oak cabinets. I want to add a back splash that would improve the value of my home. My counter tops are a gray/white/beige marble look but in a vinyl. My floors have the same colors with a diamond pattern. I like the look of tin and I also like the look of ceramic and I don‘t know which would be best. I want something to improve the look and make it fresh and new. Any input?

Answer:

The way you are describing your kitchen I think you should go with ceramic. Why? because It give's it a modern feel and it looks good. Best of luck, Aly
The tin will be hard to keep clean and might develop spots. I'd go with the ceramic, maybe sprinkle in a few glass tiles; they're really hot right now. You can make the body of the design cheaper ceramic tiles and do random or a small border out of the glass tiles.
Ceramic, being more versatile will give you a better updated look you want. Tin , aside from being harder to clean will be the wrong style for your house. There are 100 s of looks and combinations you can do in ceramic that will fit a ranch style house. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
I am assuming its an older model Magna. These models are heavily laden with emission control bits and pieces that once they wear become a nightmare to re tune the motor. The biggest bug bear on these engines is the EGR valve. It recirculates exhaust gases back into the engine at low revs, and when it stops working correctly, will make the car idle roughly. Also the choke is prone to needing adjustment as the car ages. If you have the tools, you could remove the EGR valve and block it off, but probably best to see a good mechanic, who understands Mitsubishi
Sounds to me like you have a poor connection. Might be a bad ground connection or even a bad connection on the battery itself. You didn't say if it was the original Side Terminal but I have seen these cause this type of problem.sure they test OKbut you get a poor connection between the battery and the battery terminal. I have also seen the terminals at the ends of the cable rot away and cause this. I hope I helped you.
