I have a couple polyester blankets with a fuzzy, fur-like texture and my cat just loves to suck on themI found him as an abandoned kitten at only a few weeks old, so I guess he wasn't really weaned properly and now has issues because of thatFreud might say he's orally fixatedAnyway, the blankets seem to make my cat really happy - he'll snuggle down into them, knead them with his paws, and then purr like crazy while he sucks on themIt doesn't bother me, but I'm wondering if this could be bad for him in any wayShould I take away my cat's blankies?
if your cookie batter contains any sort of fat like oil or shortening/butter never grease the pan or you will end up with pancakes instead of cookies, if you need to line a pan use parchment paper not foil, the rack is to be placed in the middle of the oven ,you will get better success if you only bake one sheet at the time ,and always preheat the oven at least 10 minutes prior to baking , every stove is different so if you have replaced the stove get a thermometer to check the appropriate temperature required for baking etc.
Your problem might be your ovenPick up an oven thermometer at Target or WalmartJust because you put the dial at 350 doesn't mean that the temp in your oven is at 350Also you might want to only bake one sheet at a time By the way, what is aluminum oil?
It is most likely your oven.Something similar happened where our oven started to get hotter than the temperature we set it toTry checking if something like this is the problem by putting a thermometer in before you put in the cookies and while you are baking them.
It could be the baking soda, always use before expiration dayYour oven may be too hotTry reducing temp 25 degreesMaybe you are letting cookies in too longThey continue baking when removed from oven for the first minuteMake sure they are soft when they come out and then wait about 3 min before removing from panWhat kind of pan are you using, If it has sides on it, use the bottom of the panIf you notice cookie pans usually have no sidesthe sides prevent the cookies from baking correctlyGood Luck!
Great question! You are exactly correct about your Freudian assumptionPoor kitty missed out on those important first 5-6 weeks of bonding with mommaIt's not hungry, it is primal desiring the child and mother bond that even we humans understandNow about your safety questionYou are going to get answers from both sidesI lean toward the, probably not a good idea side of the houseNatural and unnatural fibers can be taken into the digestive tract of the cat and may/could (but may not.who can see the future?) cause some digestive blockageBetter to not take the chance and find some kind of chew/suck toy from your local pet supply storeI have a good friend who has a cat from the same situation and she would tell me that I'm nutsHer cat sucks on her shirt collars and the corners of blankets and sofa pillowsI can tell by your question that you love your pet and have taken steps to make sure he stays healthyThank you for caring enough to ask the question.
