i am a GIRL, i want to shave my hair off and buy a wig and grow it out for about two years or until its long enough to not wear a wigbasicaly, i can not keep my hair healthy and i cant get rid of split endsi spent the last 4 years obsessing over straightening it everyday,and finally when i realize i want healthy natural hair, its HELL trying to grow it outi dont use any heat on it except when i use the diffuser when i scrunch itwhat should i do? since there is no way to get rid of dead hair except cutting it off.

No - that's fiberglass and was installed at time of building construction - the other stuff on top is more vibrant color! because its newer, and added laterThe stuff you see is brownish - gray because its absorbed dust from circulating air in the attic Its not asbestos - which was never used that way - asbestos was used as filler in drywall and tape - during the 1930s thru late 1950s.
