Should the pressure gauge be mounted before or after the check valve at the back of the pump?
It should be the valve behind the exit because it can be replaced easily if damaged
If installed after the check valve, no matter how the pump operation, will show the actual pressure in the pipe.In order to facilitate the replacement, you can install a small valve on the main pipe to connect the pressure gauge on the small pipe. When you change the pressure gauge, you only need to turn off the small valve
If the pressure gauge is installed before the check valve, the normal pressure will be displayed only when the pump is running. The pressure value displayed at the pump is not consistent with the actual pressure of the pipe.
