i have a 1977 silverado 5.0 2 wheel drive can i put that transmission in 1992 silverado 4by4 5.7 thanks
No. At least, not as easily as you're hoping. A 2wd TH350 (probably what you've got) would bolt up to the 5.7 in place of the 4L60E (again, just a guess since you didn't tell us what you've got) and probably be just fine with the existing flexplate. But you're not going to be able to bolt the transfer case up to the back of the 2wd transmission without swapping out the tailhousing and the output shaft of the transmission. And even if you did all that to get it bolted up, the computer will throw error codes since it won't be detecting the correct transmission. Just get the transmission rebuilt or get a cheap replacement from a wrecking yard and hope it works for a while.
