Unless they're very nice crystals, a few quartz rocks will not be worth anything. People will pay $10-$20 for crystal points and more for clusters of crystals. Quartz that you found in an area like that is usually very common. Depending on the amount you might be able to send it to a landscaper, but it would probably be for a very small amount. If it DOES look unusual you could try putting it on a free classifieds website and see if you can sell it (or give it away :) ) to a rock collector.
