So i just got the Sims 3 ambitions and I'm doing the firefighter career. It keeps telling me i need to do maintenance on the fire alarm but I don't know where it is. Help please!!
it's possible that the steam from your shower is setting it off. Try showering with the door closed and see if it continues to do it.
In addition to the trap on the drain, you will also need to install a vent. Otherwise, the trap could get sucked dry and then sewer gas would enter the house.
It is most likely the humidity from the shower that is causing the detector to go off. It may be time to buy a new one. They are really cheap. In fact, buy two and put one in your sleeping area as well. Never pull the battery out as a solution but rather pull it down and put it on a counter or dresser with the battery still in place.
