Question:

skateboard bearings problem?

I have 8 bearings like any other skateboard. all 8 are crappy because my bro takes it out in the rain. Damn. And one of the 8 is all smashed up(long story). So im riding to school and when at fast speed it starts to wobble ALOT even on flat smooth ground. Would buying new red bone bearings fix this?thanks

Answer:

Actually, any bones bearings would help. Bones are one the best bearings on the market, they range up to 10-100 dollars. But use bones reds, they're inexpensive and great
extra advantageous wheels won't help the centers are nevertheless made a similar length, this is person-friendly sence or they had make distinctive length bearings. You hammered them in so maximum likly they won't come out in good condition or devoid of wrecking them. i do no longer even use form call wheels and this has never befell to me yet i've got seen it ensue to three wheels, once you place your bearings on take your autos off and placed the bearing in the wheel and push the wheel on the truck snapping the bearings into place, it truly is the least confusing thank you to get them in promptly. I hate to declare it yet i think of you're screwed and are gong to might desire to purchase new bearings by using fact those won't come out good. attempt some liquid wrench and notice if that'll loosens them up sufficient to get them out saftly, you will might desire to pry with some thing, a p.c.. may well be superb a screw driving force might desire to smash them. If that is one bearing or a pair there are some web sites them sell them separatly so which you will possibly desire to purchase a pair replacements rather of a complete new set.
The bad bearing could be causing a vibration, but probably won't cause the board to wobble. Usually bad bearings make noise and don't roll freely. It sounds like you might be getting speed wobble. This is caused by loose trucks at high speed. You can try tightening up the trucks when you go fast, but be sure to loosen them up for other riding. You might want to check for a blown bushing as this could be causing the wobble problem as well. You can also change your position on the board as well when riding at high speeds. Smaller, narrower boards are more prone to speed wobble than longer wider ones.
Buying any new bearigns would fix this. Bones are the best brand and I recomend them always just because I've used them forever and they work better than any other brand i've used. There is no fixing the smashed one up you could fix it from being wet by taking them out and cleaning them and then relubing them. I lube my bearings at least once a week more if I skate everyday. Don't ever use wd-40 on bearings it leaves behind a residue that collect dust and dirt making your bearings even more crappy. If you buy some beaings get some lube for them also. Bones red and some lube would cost about $25 total at a skateshop and the lube will last years. If not then buy lube later bones bearings are about $15-20 online and at skateshops.
get bones reds and try not to leave ur boards in the rain
