After a six month deploy in Afghanistan, my father has a strange and annoying problem with his smoke detectors. They sound off intermittently for about 25 seconds for no apparent reason at random times through the day. He changed all the batteries and checked for an error light on all of them but no luck. To pick a lock you need to turn it into a curved pick/rake you will also need a pressure bar and a basic understanding of how a lock works and differnt styles of locks. Generly speeking it is easier to shim (paddle locks) pry/jam (door locks) or wedge (car door locks) take your labtop/ tab to a wifi area and youtube it or go to the libary and use there computer.
