Question:

Smoke detector keeps going off when I use my heater?

I moved into an apartment a few months ago and every time I use my heater the smoke alarm goes off. It's freezing and I can't use my heater bc if this. It's an older gas heater. Is it burning off dust?

Answer:

Just like any brand through time some mechanical parts will need maintenance. Just open the printer's cover and locate the paper feeder roller. Get a clean damp cotton bud and clean the roller's rubber. Through time it accumulates dirt affecting its traction.
I've been self employed most of my working life, now I'm disable so I've not had to deal with employers and the prestigious such as fisherman explained but I have worked in different religious clergy's homes and businesses owned by them one of which does prohibit their followers to not drink alcohol yet paid me for work done at their Liquor Store and informed me that his 10% he gave to his church was the largest amount in that particular town whose majority population is of the same faith?
could be a number of things but could be the door lock actuators not working right, also the remote might be acting up if you got it wet during the car wash. If that is the case then remove the batteries from the remote and see what happens. I am not sure of all the sensing devices on the car but I hear that model has problems. I know that doesn't help. This will disable it forever though The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS orange/blue |-| on pin 30 at the SECU. |- negative polarity|. The SECU (Smart Entrance Control Unit) is located to the passengers side of the steering column. Once Located, splice into this wire with a simular guage wire, and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the OEM alarm functions entirely. If you could find the sensor that is causing the problem would be better. Sound to me like the shock sensor which might have an adjustment on it. They usually just have a spring inside that moves around when car is vibrated by the wind etc. So adjusting the tension causes it to be more or less sensitive. Not sure if your model is adjustable or not. look in the service manual for your car, like the kind you get at the auto parts store and locate the sensor that way. Only if of course it is factory installed. The book should indicate location of all sensors etc. If you disable the whole system then replace it with an aftermarket system of similar security, and dont scrimp on what it can do. the extra remotes you dont need but value you do.
