Question:

Smoking laws in Texas?

Ok so I go to a community college that is a smoke free environmentI often smoke in my car as i have always thought that it is my own private property and my right to smoke in it regardless of where I am parked. Most of the campus cops ignore me and don't seem to mindA fellow student says that as long as you are a certain distance from the entrance they don't careBut the other day a very rude campus cop whom id never seen before stopped me and said I would have to go down to the road to smoke because the parking lot is their property.I did what she said and didn't argue because I didn't want to cause trouble at the time but I would like to know the official laws on that.I tried googling it but the results were a bit confusing.I don't want to break a law, I'll go to the road if I have tooBut I also want to exercise my rights and not be bullied around by someone trying to overextend their authority.I live in Texas if that makes a difference.

Answer:

The green-blue is from copper not aluminium If you keep the air from it, it will not turn black, so you could coat it with a lacquer or clear acrylic to keep the air away from the aluminium.
I use an aluminum ladder at work it turns my hands black, Not to bad and only after much use and it Wash's off easily
You sitting in your car on someone else's private property, doesn't make it your private propertyYou're basically upset that this cop didn't ignore the University's smoking policies like the lazier ones did.
