Question:

smudges on my just cleaned engineered hardwood floors?

We just moved to a new house. We have dark colored engineered hardwood floors. Keeping them clean is driving me crazy. I can see reflected simple footprints after my kids walk across the newly cleaned surface. (No they don't have dirty feet) Is there something I am doing wrong? What is the best thing to clean them with?

Answer:

Keep you a vinegar and water mixure in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe up with a soft cloth...:)
I clean houses for a living while attending school and if you have kids you will have prints try having them walk in just there socks. there is this hard wood finish cleaner by pine sol to help prevent that. but it does not always work with kids slippers with a cotton bottom
I clean my wood floors ( and everything else) with a product called Basic H. It is made by Shaklee and it is sold out of people's homes. It is about $42 a gallon, but you only use a tiny bit every time you fix a bucket of water. Also a few drops in the bathtub and there is no ring! It can be used for everything in the house including windows. A gallon lasts me about two years! It's also biodegradable so you can throw the dirty water on the garden and it won't hurt a thing!
Cleaning Engineered Hardwood
HI okorder website. It's not cheap but remember, you get a whole gallon that is concentrated and that should last a very VERY long time. I would suggest purchasing 2 gallons since the shipping is the same for 2 gallons as for 1 gallon and you won't have to repurchase for a long time. I guarantee you, this product beats everything on the market, you will be absolutely amazed at how you don't even have to rinse and the floors shine like new. PLUS, it has a fresh, clean scent. Hope this helps!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU! YOU WILL LOVE POLYCARE
