i have made an experiment on a solar water heating and calculated at different time intervals (each 2 mins) the following data:- tank temperature- panels temperature- heat exchanger temperatures (in out)i need to calculate the following:1- efficiency of the panels2- efficiency of the Heat exchangers3- the overall efficiency of the system..how can i do that????
Well you can call TrendSetter Industries, they might be able to answer your questions. They deal specifically with solar hot water heating. Ask for Michael... (he knows a lot about that), tell him Jessica (Norm's daughter) sent you. Sometimes they get really busy, but they are quite helpful folk. Good luck!
you're able to truthfully ask a query. None of your sequences of words are truthfully questions. i desire to appreciate the advice of image voltaic gadget and subsidies is a declarative fact. provide me some operational regulations approximately image voltaic water gadget is an crucial command.
Efficiency of the panels: This has to be temperature related since you have no other data. A 100% efficient system would transfer all the heat from the panels to the water so for 100% efficient Twater/Tpanels would be 1. Of course you need to use the steady state temperature of the panels and the water...steady state is when the temp doesnt change any more. Efficiency of the heat exchanger: Same principal as the panels use Temp of the water you heated / temperature of the water that is doing the heating. In the real world you would probably have a flow rate of the water and could calculate the actual heat values but temperature difference appears to be what this homework is all about. Overall system efficiency is T panel / T water that was heated by the heat exchanger.
