Where I live there are requirements for fire systems. They have to report to a central station, They have to have smoke detectors in the main HVAC ducts, they require a min. amount of strobes and horns, etc. Your local vendors will all have brands that they use. The different hardware runs about $100 each plus labor to install but the panels and the monitoring service will vary in price. I would call a couple in to get a quote.
