when ur heading to the left of the pokecenter in the city after pallet town the pokemon leuge should be there and there should be patches of grass. now in the grass u will find nidoran( what i use ) and mankey now mankey is knda hard to find in the grass so it may take acouple min but then get him, train him to level 10 or so, then ur ready
