What object created by man is close to the speed of light?
Speed of light = 3 x 10^8 m/s No object is created by man till now, which is as speed as light. But the torch is created by man, its output is light, its speed is equal to 3 x 10^8 m/s . :P :)
Ah, the beam of light emitted from your torch (aka, flashlight) actually travels at light speed. But for stuff that's close to, but not quite, light speed, we've been moving electrons and protons around accelerators at close to light speed for decades now. The LHC at CERN, for example, accelerates protons up to about v = 99.999% light speed before smashing them into each other.
