Question:

Speeders on a residential street?

We moved to the area about 6 months ago, and we live on a quiet residential one-way street. The entire area has a speed limit of 25 MPH, and there's a daycare about 2 blocks away. On our block alone there are about 10 children under the age of 6, our kids included. Now, people speed. And we're not just talking going 5 over. Routinely we'll have school buses, dump trucks, etc going over 35/40. Clear roads, snowy roads, whatever. They speed. We spoke with our neighbors who lived here much longer, and they said that they complained to the city so they put out an electronic radar. Apparently it helped for the weeks that it was there, but once it was gone. That was it. We don't know where to go next. We keep trying to get an appointment with the city councilperson to talk about the possibility of a speed bump or two, but it's not election time therefore they don't return calls quickly. Help?

Answer:

throw it out and get yourself a craftsman. You know were to bring those.that ratchet will cost you more to fix than 2 craftsman ratchets.
Yes. Most all of them. The batteries are for backup in case of a power failure. This is true with security alarm systems too. Also true for commercial smoke/gas alarms.
