Never use laundry products on your's or any one else's carepet. If you have not damaged the carpet dyes, consider your self lucky. all professional carpet cleaners throughout the world will treat a stain, with the appropriate spotter, and then rinse and extract the spotter and the spill, or what ever, from the carpet fibers. What ever you put into the carpet needs to be removed. When you shampoo, most people I know, will rinse the shampoo from the hair. Mission accomplished.
